Camp Sky Carbon Folding Trekking Pole

Our Price

Carbon fibre poles are both light and strong, and the Sky Carbon weighs in at a tiny 177g. It collapses down to just 36cm, meaning that it will easily fit into most daysacks or even a bumbag. The length adjustment is by the well-established speedlock (cliplock) system, which is easy to use with gloved hands, but unusually the collapsing function has been separated out and is by pushing a toggle which releases the segments, an elasticated cord keeping them together. This makes it less likely to be affected by dirt and grit because the control is higher up the pole. Although not obvious at first it is very quick and easy to adjust once you know how. A neat idea which, combined with its very short collapsed length, makes it particularly useful for days when you are only using it for part of the time, for example if including a climb or a scramble (or even a kayak?) as part of your day.
