The circular route crosses both Dark & White Peak, ranging from the wild moorland of Kinder Scout and the craggy scarp of Stanage Edge to the deep cut meanders of the Wye Valley and the gentle parkland of Chatsworth. Walk lengths are from 11.5 to 17.5 miles, with around 1000 feet of ascent most days.
