The new rechargeable Tikka 2 Core Head Torch from Petzl is a 4 LED headlamp with 3 lighting modes, a Core battery and USB wall charger. The Core battery is a Lithium Ion Polymer rechargeable battery that has a lifespan equivalent to more than 900 AAA batteries and can be charged 300 times making it extremely economical - over £800 in savings by not purchasing disposable batteries over the lifespan of the Core battery! As the Core battery can be charged over 300 times, the number of hours of light you can achieve with this headtorch is in the region of 36000 hours, or just over 4 years!!! Petzl.com has additional software called Coretex which can be downloaded (free) to customise your Tikka 2's light setting depending on the activity being undertaken.
