| About Us Julian McIntosh started SafariQuip in 1982 to help individual overlanders and explorers find the right gear for their expeditions. Since then SafariQuip has worked closely with many firms to outfit their staff with the necessary equipment for travel overseas. We have supplied major firms in the television, oil, survey and travel industries, many of them household names. Using our experience outfitting groups for expeditions, we carefully selected a range of products for holidaymakers and individual travellers and so launched our "Travel Accessories" range in 1990. This range has been featured in our ever-expanding catalogues for the past decade, and on our website for the past 5 years. Branching out still further in April 1993 we opened an outdoor equipment shop "Peveril Outdoor and Travel" in the scenic village of Castleton just below the ramperts of Peveril Castle. Later we renamed the shop "AdventureQuip". The shop complements the travel range and caters for colder climates too! Safariquip are completely dedicated to your total satisfaction. | Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order. We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency. We accept Visa and Mastercard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet. When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable. |
| Shipping And Handling For UK deliveries a standard charge of £2.95 per parcel will apply. Alternatively, First Class or Next Day deliveries may be requested at a charge of £5.00 or £12.00 respectively. Overseas delivery charges will be dependent upon weight and volume and will be advised before despatch. |
| Delivery Schedule We aim to despatch your order within one working day. Occasionally an item may be out of stock. If your order has been placed using "First Class" or "Next Day Carrier" we will endeavour to contact you immediately for instructions. If you have selected "Standard Delivery" we will only contact you if the delay is likely to extend beyond one week. We do not charge your card for any item until the goods are despatched. |
