Paramo waterproofs are made from hydrophobic fibres which get thinner outwards, the way that animal fur does. The fibres push any moisture, whether rain, condensation or sweat, into the gaps between them and force it outwards. This active moisture transfer means that there is no need for a barrier membrane and hence they do not have the "armour plated" feel of most waterproofs . They also breathe in muggy conditions when all other breathable fabrics don't. The result is clothing which will keep you dry in any conditions while being soft and comfortable to wear.

An all round hillwalking jacket, but its comfortable feel means that you end up using it for lots of more casual activities. A trouser that protects you from the weather like an overtrouser. You can keep them on all day because of their superb breathability and comfort. No fiddling about trying to pull them on over boots! The same material as the Alta and Cascada, but in a smock version, with a shorter cut but long at the back for extra protection while cycling and with articulated shoulders for ease of movement. an insulated warm gilet that can be worn on it's own, under a jacket or over your jacket. It packs down into it's front chest pocket. Other features are two hand warming pockets, a two way zip for venting, weighs 370g and has all classic halmarks of a Paramo product.

A lightweight windproof smock, to place over your other layers to stop the windchill cooling your torso. the Fuera is ideally combined with a reversible shirt or any other Paramo base layer/mid layer. This water-repellent top has dual access chest pocket and a wired peak hood with volume adjuster.

Made from Pertex Quantum windproof breathable fabric, this windtop is ultra lightweight (70 g). With low bulk lycra cuffs and hem, it all stows away into an internal pocket (slightly bigger than a credit card!) for when the wind stops blowing. Very effective performance from such a lightweight shell. N.B not a waterproof!

They keep me warm and comfortable in such a wide range of conditions, from desert chill to a wet afternoon. Worn so often that it's a good job they wash easily and dry so quickly. The outer Pertex Equilibrium fabric is windproof, water resistant and highly breathable and the micro-fleece lining provides a soft, high wicking fabric that keeps your body warm and dry.
