For the 2004 season all Therm-a-Rest ranges have been redesigned and renamed to make choosing the right mat quick and easy. Now in 3 categories based on your needs.
Fast & Light Series: These are the lightest and most compact mats in the world! For backpackers, alpinists and lightweight adventures.
Trek & Travel Series: This is the range for those who use their sleeping mattress for a variety of activites.
Camp & Comfort Series: These are the ones to go for if you want all out luxury. They weigh a bit more so you may not want to carry them on your back but the gains you make in warmth and comfort are second to none.

For activities where every ounce is critical, lightweight closed-cell foam pads are your best choice. Ridge Rest mattresses are softer, more comfortable and offer better levels of insulation from the ground than a conventional flat foam mat.
They are called Z-Lites becasue when not in use they concertina up and so can easily be strapped to the outside of your rucksack.

An alternative to the normal stuffsac your Therm-a-rest came with. The Therm-a-Wrap fits over the ends of the mat with one end hooking far enough to include a pillow. This part also has a soft surface to feel good against your ears. When it's time to move on just open the valve and roll the mat into the Therm-a-Wrap and secure the compression straps. Quick and easy.
